This was the first photo that I retouched. This photo was used experimenting with mostly all of the retouching tools, just to get the hang of them. The first thing that I did to this photo was remove the red writing on the original using the spot healing brush. A levels correction was also done, along with some cropping. |
The color change is clear in this photo, in fact you can actually see color in the edited version. The patch tool, clone stamp tool, healing and spot healing brush, and level correction were all used in this edit.
In the edit here, you can see that the picture is in much better quality. The spot healing tool was used to clean up the specks on his shirt and face, and to get rid of the crease line from the original photo.

The "Dad" photo was edited using the spot healing brush, the dodge tool, and a levels correction. The picture on the left is the before, and the right is after editing.

Some changes that have been made are obviously the lighting. I also removed some of the stray hairs in the corner of his head, and I got rid of some of the wrinkles on his face.
